Terms of Service

Last updated: 17 May 2026

By using the Pixscaler website, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.

1. What Pixscaler is

Pixscaler is a free, open-source tool for resizing and compressing images in your browser. Processing uses Web Workers and canvas APIs on your device. The image content you process is not sent to us as part of that workflow.

2. Acceptable use

You may use Pixscaler only with images you have the right to process. You are responsible for complying with copyright and other laws that apply to you.

You agree not to:

  • Use the site in a way that is unlawful or infringes someone else’s rights.
  • Attempt to disrupt the site or overload it (for example with abusive automated traffic).

3. No warranties

Pixscaler is provided as is, without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent allowed by law. We do not guarantee that output files will meet any third-party requirement (size, format, dimensions), that every browser will support every feature, or that the site will always be available.

Always verify results yourself before submitting files to government portals, employers, shops, or other services.

4. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the project maintainers and contributors are not liable for any damages arising from your use of Pixscaler or this website, including indirect or consequential damages or loss of data.

5. Hosting

The website is delivered through Cloudflare. Your use of the site is also subject to Cloudflare’s terms and policies where they apply to visitors.

6. Open source

Source code is published on GitHub under the MIT Licence. The exact grant of rights is in the LICENSE file in the repository root. If you fork or reuse the code, read that file first.

7. Changes

We may update these terms. When we do, we will change the date at the top of this page. Continued use of the site after an update means you accept the revised terms.

8. Contact

For questions about these terms, contact us at contact@pixscaler.com or see the contact page.

Pixscaler compresses and converts your images locally, inside your browser. Your files never touch a server.
