How article covers differ from feed post images
Articles show a dedicated cover above the body text. Guides often recommend 1200 x 644 so the hero stays sharp in the article reader and in previews when people share the link.
Feed post images and article covers are not interchangeable sizes. Exporting the wrong ratio makes LinkedIn scale or crop in ways that are hard to predict from the editor alone.
Tips before you upload
- Keep faces and titles in the central band. Reader chrome can cover corners on some devices.
- Use moderate JPEG quality. Long articles already carry plenty of weight without an oversized hero.
- After export, open the article draft and preview on mobile before you publish.
- If you cross-post the same story to your blog, compare this preset to the blog featured image preset for consistent framing.
All compression happens locally in your browser. Your image files never leave your computer.
